Lets Scale In!

Arrive on Location. Park your truck or Vehicle on the Right Side to be all right! not the left and be all wrong.
*Trucks Tune your CB to Channel 11)

Prior to driving on the scale be sure to have all your paperwork ready

*Trucks be sure to Notify Scale Master of Material and Name of Supplier.

Know your Colors! A Red Light Indicates you need to STOP and visit the Scale Master inside the Weigh House. Green means your all set to GO!

Where Do I Go?
Dont know where to drop your material? Prior to scaling in stop in at the Scale House and ask our Scale Master for information and instructions!

Scale Out. Once you have sucessfully unloaded you material its time to scale out. Drive onto the scale and once again wait for the colors. Green or Red means come on inside!
FAQ
1000 Lbs. Minimum
Rensselaer Iron and Steel Inc. Cuts you a check right then and there for your material. To ensure cost efficacy we have instituted a 1000 lbs. minimum to receive a check.
Got a Title?
If you've got a title in your name the process just got easier! simply show the scale master your title in your name when you drive onto the scale and your all set!
Copy That!
Many times people request that we make copies for customers, unfortunately this has been taken advantage of and has caused us problems in the past. Unfortunately we are unable to make copies.
First Time?
Be sure to visit our scale house and talk to our scale master prior to driving on the scale. You will need to have a valid Drivers License and a Title or MV-35 for Vehicles. Forms not required for ferrous material.
No Title No Problem!
NYS Law requires all vehicles without a title to complete a MV-35 form when scrapping. For your convenience we have forms ready and on site for you! Simply come into the weigh house prior to scaling to complete and get you on your weigh! (Pun intended).
Wait!!! I Forgot my.....
Once you have scaled in your junk at Rensselaer Iron and Steel Inc. whatever was delivered is now the property of Rensselaer Iron and Steel Inc. Be sure to remove all valuables and/or items you don't want destroyed out of the vehicle prior to scaling. We will not allow people picking though piles and cars for personal items.
